Manufactured 1883. Extra length full octagon barrel, full magazine, walnut stock and rifle butt. Rifle is basically a mixture of blue and grey patina. Wood is very good, proud to metal, not cracked. Rear of forearm shows pommel wear. Sports a special order adjustable set trigger. Fine action and strong bore. Has Winchester sporting rear sight, missing elevator; replaced front sight, missing blade. Any Model 1873 with extra length barrel is extremely scarce, as is the special order set trigger. This one obviously saw Western use based on pommel wear, but remains clean. An original Western used Winchester with a decent bore.
