This is referred to as a Late Flat Side. An example of this pistol can be found on page 72-73 in the book System Mauser by Breathed and Schroeder. These were manufactured in the early part of the 20th century. This pistol remains in superb condition; has a light rub at the bottom of the barrel about 3/4" from shoulder stock and some high edge wear. Still retains approximately 92-95% original blue with most of the Nitre blue on small parts and excellent grips. What makes this pistol even more desirable is that it comes with its matching serial number shoulder stock holster that remains in excellent condition. A beautiful early Flat Side with all matching numbers.
