Manufactured 1905. Round blued barrel with full tube magazine, blade front sight, ramped rear sight; barrel marked "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. PAT. AUG. 21. 1894", "NICKEL STEEL BARREL / ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER", and "25-35 WCF" at breech. "PW" proof mark in circle on barrel and on receiver at breech. Blued lever action receiver; marked on tang "MODEL 1894 / WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK". Plain walnut buttstock with crescent steel buttplate and forend with steel end cap. Good condition; barrel and tube magazine retain about 70-80% original blue finish with wear on muzzle and thinning on sides and around breech, some scattered dark spots and scratches. Action mostly turned to a light brown patina with traces of blue in protected areas; some screws marred. Buttstock is good with scattered dents, scratches and marks from use. Forend with splinter of wood missing on left side against barrel, a small chip on right side and showing scattered marks from heavy use. Excellent bore.
