This is a standard German World War I contract "Red 9" manufactured from 1916 to 1918. Features the dull military blue finish, fire blue small parts, fine serrated walnut grips with red '9' burned into each panel, and lanyard ring. Has all matching numbers to include shoulder stock holster. Pistol is in excellent all original condition. Bottom of barrel is patina from holster and has overall wear on high edges; still retains 80-85% or its original war-time finish. Still retains approximately 60% of the Nitre blue on small parts. Fine bore and action. Original wooden shoulder stock has matching number on tang and is in excellent condition. Very nice all original World War I era German military Red 9 Broomhandle.
