Manufactured 1970. It is estimated that a mere 2% of the Pre-Series 70 Colt Model 1911 Commercial Models were finished in factory nickel. This pistol features all standard features found on any Pre-Series 70, but it is one of the scarce nickel variations. Gun shows in near new condition inside and out; polished nickel is near perfect with no toning or usual storage scratches, it would be nearly impossible to improve on and would look right at home in a box.
