Round blued rifled barrel with blued front sight. Case hardened action and trigger guard. Left side marked "REMINGTON'S ILION. N.Y. U.S.A. / PAT MAY 3D. NOV. 15TH 1864 APRIL 17TH 1866" and stamped with "S" and "P". Breech block and hammer are polished bright and trigger is blued. Varnished walnut one piece pistol grip and forend; grip marked with cartouche "C.R.S." on left side of grip. Excellent condition; barrel retains about 95% bright blue finish with some scattered scratches and marks from use. Muzzle still polished bright. Bore excellent and shiny. Action retains about 95-98% original case colors with some very light marks from storage. Block and hammer have a few scattered dark freckles. Trigger retains almost all of its original fire blue finish. Stocks are excellent; cartouche is very sharp, a few scattered marks from use.
