This is the rarest of all Daisy rifles with less than half a dozen known to exist. On page 282 in the "Air Gun Encyclopedia 11th Edition" has this listed as a First Model Variant I manufactured by the Plymouth Iron Wind Mill Company 1889 to 1895. It is a single shot, muzzle loader with brass tube, barrel and air chamber; cast iron frame, wire skeletal stock without wood, nickel plating, and post front sight. Production quantities unknown. Top of frame is embossed "DAISY MFD. BY IRON WIND MILL CO PLYMOUTH MICH PAT, APD. FOR". Barrel and chamber retain 95% original nickel finish starting to tone, brass showing through. Generous amounts of plating on iron. This model is the Holy Grail of this genre. In 1895 the Plymouth Iron Wind Mill Company was renamed the Daisy Manufacturing Company. The inventor of this rifle was Clarence J. Hamilton. Comes in a specially made display case.
