Hand carved with the original surface, this stand shows incredible detail in the face, shirt, tie, and jacket. Caricature is possibly of a hotel or railroad porter. Appears to be missing some parts, including a clockwork mechanism in the back to activate the nodding motion of the head. A very unique piece that is wonderful as is or with some work. Circa early 20th century.
