Circa 1935. Paper litho on flat cardboard figure with construction similar to the Performo wood figures. Came with a slotted wood base to allow them to stand steady. American made but completely unmarked nad no manufacturer has ever been suggested although it could possibly be Jaymar. Assume figure was authorized but this too is not definitely known. Popeye is in excellent condition with some wear at his feet where he fit into base. Base is missing. Provenance: Collection of Carl Lobel.
