Richard Reichert of Germany produced this charming candy vendor with Hansel and Gretel automaton scene around 1928. The sheet metal cabinet is made to look like a gingerbread house decorated with an assortment of sweets, and when a coin is deposited and the handle is cranked, the automaton scene is supposed to be set into motion. The vendor mechanism on this device is operational and the figures move. Some wear is present throughout. One key is provided.

Condition: (Very Good).
