Created in 1915 for the San Francisco World's Fair - or Panama-Pacific International Exposition - which celebrated the completion of the Panama Canal and the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the Pacific Ocean. The pennant is made of navy blue felt and features a screen printed image of the official seal of the P.P.I.E. Set in a mahogany wood frame. Very few of these banners are known.
