Used as a store display, this rack is made of cast iron with two embossed tin signs placed on opposite sides of each other. The top bar reads "Try A Merkle Blu-J Broom" with the tin signs reading "Saves Rugs Carpets And Labor." There is a depiction of a blue jay bird standing on top of a broom. Beneath "Merkle Broom Co. The Largest Broom Factory In The World. Paris, Ill. Established in 1879." Circa 1920's. The tin adverts show minor signs of age but rack itself is worn.
