Contained in this wooden frame of gold and black are two lithographs. The upper, smaller print depicts an 18th century mailman on horseback and the lower, larger print shows a steam locomotive from Lake Shore and Michigan Ry. There is some staining showing on the top half of the lower print. Both prints are set in a black and gold painted wooden frame that is engraved to read: "The Mail Carrier of 100 Years Ago" and "The Flight of the Fast Mail on the LS & MS Ry". Some wear can be seen on the original finish of the frame. Other articles of interest regarding the railroad company can be found on the reverse side of the frame.
