This is a late 19th to early 20th century barber chair created by Ernest Koken of Koken Barber Supply Co., based in St. Louis. Thanks to Koken, most chairs that are seen in barber shops and hair salons are base off of his innovative reclining and hydraulic chairs. This particular chair features black upholstered leather with a hand carved oak frame and pedestal. There is a green velvet headrest accompanied by ornate nickel-plated details throughout with the Koken name on the nickel-plated footrest. The chair has aged with time, showing wear mostly on the leather with minor scuffs to the wood.

Condition: (Good).

Item Dimensions: 45"T x 26"W x 40"D.
