Steel construction, the skull is pierced and decorated with with Cyrillic characters and Eastern motifs, base with border of chiseled designs. Traces of gilt decoration remain in protected areas. Features include a sliding nose defense and spike, both decorated en suite. Two plume holders with shaped finials. Liner of riveted tin. Piercings around base of brow for camail. Has been cleaned at some time, now retains a grey patina with some darker areas, especially in protected areas and around rivets. A very decorative helmet that displays nicely.
