Unlike most music boxes that have appeared in the late 19th century to early 20th century, the Coronet is played through a paper spool. It has an oak cabinet with a black base and black cloth-like body. The top surface has hand painted pinstriping in gold and forms a crown. Included is the original paper instructions for how to play this music box and is written in three different languages. There is wear throughout the housing and the crank does not have a handle, however, the Coronet does play. Overall, this is a unique instrument with a pleasant appearance.
