Consists of treated white cotton material with leather headband, a green linen lining, black chin strap, bronze spike with U.S. anchor and eagle insignia on front. This 19th century helmet was often worn with dress blues. Excellent condition; shows the usual wear but is still white to off-white, and complete with no damage. The Marine Corp of the 19th century boasted the fewest members and as such, these helmets are extremely rare.
