Classic M16A1 with bird cage flash hider, triangular hand guards and composite furnishings. Typical Colt markings with Rampant Colt logo on left side of receiver as well as M16A1 designation. Includes two 30 round and two 20 round aluminum magazines with nylon sling and Colt Sporting Rifle manual. Also included is a telescoping buttstock assembly and plastic muzzle cap. As the M16 saw wide spread use with American military forces, there was enough interest in the commercial market for Colt to provide registered, transferable specimens in response to market demand. This is one such example, which includes a chrome bore. Overall appearance and finish extremely fine retaining nearly all of its original finish with only some slight handling marks on the buttstock. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is excellent, shiny and bright. Simply a beautiful specimen of its kind which has seen very little use. Telescoping buttstock assembly has seen some use with the enamel finish starting to lift at the high points at the butt. Magazines and sling appear unused. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
