EXTREMELY ATTRACTIVE AND EARLY MANUFACTURED FLUTED JACKET VICKERS .303 WATER COOLED MACHINE GUN ON TRIPOD (FULLY TRANSFERABLE).PEARL MFG COMK 1 VICKERS10898MMMODERN; NFACal. 303 British & 7.62 Russian. 28-1/2" bbl. This "Pearl Manufacturing" registered Vickers gun has "Crossed-flag proof" over SN "1998" on top of water jacket near filler cap. This also has the anti-aircraft sight base and flip-up flag (window-pane) rear sight. Included in this lot in addition to .303 Australian marked bolt and feed block is an additional bbl, feed block & bolt converted to 7.62 X 54 R .303 Bbl is marked "VAC / MKII". Also included in this lot is an orig British tripod marked "LSC MK IV" with large diameter dial base. There is evidence of welding visible when feed block cover is open where the right sideplate was attached to the trunnion. Cocking handle rounded knob is a very finely machined replacement, devoid of bluing. Right side plate clearly marked "PEARL MFG CORP" and "8MM" with SN. Current registration form indicates "Pearl Manufacturing Corp" in Block 3A, with cal. listed as "8 MM". Action operates very smoothly within receiver. This gun appears fully functional. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This item is fully transferable on an ATF Form 3 or Form 4. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish very good to fine with an attractive blued finish turning to a nice gray/brown patina. Brass feed block is very attractive with some remnants of green paint adhering. Bore of both bbls are good with evidence of firing. Both bolts are marked with broad arrow proofs with good spring tension. Walnut handles are in good serviceable condition with some dings & handling marks. Water fill cap is brass with steel chain intact. Tripod is a tan/green color with steel bushings inside the brass head. Orig large diameter indexed disc very attractive. This fluted jacket Vickers is one of the most attractive of the water cooled machine guns and much desired by the discerning machine gun enthusiast not only because of its high quality but also because it is readily convertible to numerous calibers.
