UTTERLY STUNNING NEAR MINT HIGHEST POSSIBLE CONDITION COLT MODEL 21 AC THOMPSON MACHINE GUN (CURIO & RELIC). COLT 1921 THOMPSON 5050 45 ACP MODERN; NFA; C&R Cal. 45 ACP. 12-1/2" bbl with diamond logo Cutts compensator. Undoubtedly one of the finest orig condition Thompsons extent. This specimen has absolutely clear mint orig markings throughout with Thompson bullet logo on top of receiver, forward of rear sight. Anchor proof mark at front of stock, matching upper and lower assemblies, and orig Colt 1921 parts inside receiver. One 20 round 1920s patent date magazine. The Thompson with the Cutts compensator is the most recognized American sub-machine gun and always highly sought after by both shooters and collectors. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4 as Curio & Relic eligible. CONDITION: Utterly outstanding orig finish and appearance in all respects. Extremely fine with 98% finish or better. Mechanics are crisp. Brilliant, shiny bore with clean, sharp rifling. Bolt face also outstanding with a little bit of residual grease. Partially withdrawing the cocking handle reveals some slight loss of finish at forward edges of the charging handle slot. There is some slight wear to the finish not visible with stock on gun where stock attaches, and upon the closest inspection in the proper light one can notice an errant drag line to the rear of the pistol grip. Wood is near mint throughout, again upon the closest possibly inspection one might be able to discern a handling mark. Buttplate retains just about all of it's orig blued finish with the slightest discernible marks. Magazine condition consistent with firearm, deep lustrous blue finish.
