HIGH CONDITION AUTO ORDNANCE WEST HURLEY THOMPSON M1 MACHINE GUN (CURIO & RELIC). AUTO-ORDNANCE M1 THOMPSON M575A 45 ACP MODERN; NFA; C&R Cal. 45 ACP. 10-3/4" bbl. Minty West Hurley M1A1 configured Thompson with fixed rear peep sight, side cocking handle, and non-detachable buttstock. Magazine well not cut to take drum mags and will only accept stick magazines. Includes spare vertical foregrip with retention screw, one leather sling, two 30 round Seymour magazines, one 30 round Bridgeport magazine and one 20 round 1920s patent date magazine as well as a black nylon carrying case. This model of Thompson is the final iteration as produced in great quantity for the US military. It saved considerable time and money in manufacturing over previous models. These guns were made by West Hurley right up until the point when machine guns could no longer be registered for private individual ownership in response to market demand. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4 as Curio & Relic eligible. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish extremely fine. Deep lustrous blue finish with some slight pitting visible on side of bolt as viewed through charging handle slot under a gray patina with slight pin prick oxidation at left hand side of receiver outer most edge which will likely clean up. Wood furnishings are also extremely fine with only the slightest of handling marks. Magazines are in commiserate condition albeit the patent date magazine has been refinished with cold blue touch up giving it a somewhat mottled appearance in strong light. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is extremely fine, shiny, bright, with sharp rifling. An exceedingly attractive Thompson in a difficult to find configuration. 53174-1 JWK (12,000-18,000) black nylon case, leather sling, 4 stick mags
