FINE COMMERCIAL FINISH HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON RISING MODEL 50 MACHINE GUN (C&R).H&RMDL 50 RISING701045 ACP4 magsMODERN; NFA; C&RCal. 45 ACP. 14" bbl with compensator. 29 fin bbl with six slot compensator. This gun has typical H&R markings on top of receiver and professionally marked on right side of buttstock, "CITY OF PITTSBURGH" which would indicate it's use by municipal authorities, probably law enforcement. Includes four orig smooth sided 20 round magazines. External SN is the only visible number. The Reising was manufactured as a result of the shortage of Thompson sub machine guns during WWII and a number of them were issued for use in the Pacific Theater as well as to law enforcement. This commercial finish specimen is quite handsome. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval for transfer. This item is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or 4, as Curio & Relic eligible. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is about 75% orig commercial blue thinning to a gray patina with some very light pitting on top of receiver. Bbl retains more of it's finish. Trigger guard mostly a grey patina with mottled appearance with a similar condition on the high edges of the magazine well. Very smooth stock has some slight dings and handling marks and has been lightly sanded. "CITY OF PITTSBURGH" markings very crisp. Magazines are in fine condition. Mechanics are fine. Bore and compensator show residue from firing with strong rifling and some shine showing. 52939-18 JWK (4,500-6,500)
