Y. S. & L. WW2 M3 37MM ANTI-TANK GUN (DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE).Y.,S. & L. COM3/T3235720MMMODERN; NFA; C&RCal. 37mm. 82" bbl. This U.S. M3 anti-tank gun manufactured by Y., S. & L. is registered in both 37mm and 20mm. Locking pins for pivoting trailing legs not present, nor is the sighting apparatus. Traverse mechanism allows it to move a very small amount and appears to be stuck due to repaint. Elevation mechanism moves slightly but also appears fouled due to recent repaint. Road wheels turn freely. One able-bodied man was able to roll this gun up a ramp into a trailer for transport. No breech block present. This gun came from an estate and although registered as a Destructive Device, the breech block has not yet been found. If/when breech block is found it will be conveyed to buyer. This is a National Firearms Act Item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This item is fully transferable on a Form 3 or Form 4 as a destructive device. PROVENANCE: From the estate collection of noted discerning firearms enthusiast, Donald W. Dix, Jr. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish fine with green olive drab paint on appropriate metal. Rubber tires exhibit some wear but remain serviceable. Bore has strong rifling with uniform brown corrosion throughout. End cap welded at muzzle reducing muzzle diameter. This would make a very fine display piece and with the addition of a breech block would be great fun at the range. 52613-1 jwk102 (6,000-10,000)
