Standard World War II period U.S. military issue sun helmet with an officer's visor cap device added to the front. The interior crown features a 3" by 4" leather patch, on which is embossed "To Bill Travers,/ A Good Friend/ From Major General/ Sanderford Jarman/ 1945". A shirt-sized major general's insignia is pinned in the center of the patch. CONDITION: Helmet is in excellent condition. From the Ray Bentley collection.
