Gun (A) is a John Zuendorff, New York, early air rifle. Features a full octagon barrel, sporting sight, a walnut fore end with carved tip, a brown cylinder frame, adjustable trigger, brass under lever pump handle. Walnut stock is cracked, repaired, and loose and requires significant attention. Once repaired, you would have yourself a scarce, unusual and air rifle. Brown patina. Gun (B) is a German Schuetzen air rifle. Top of barrel is stamped Joseph Doreter in Wien, Austria (Vienna). Features at 25 - 3/4 inch full octagon barrel. Globe and post front sight with dented hood, single leaf folding rear sight, tang sight, sling swivels, ornate finger groove trigger guard with double set triggers, large heavy Swiss buttplate, add on cheekpiece. Barrel is basically freckled brown patina, as are other metal parts. Wood is very good to excellent, proud to metal. Side plate is unmarked. Hammer has a large checkered thumb piece. A very interesting antique Austrian Schuetzen style rifle in very good to excellent condition.
