Heer Model 40 single decal combat helmet in overall very good condition. Helmet retains 70-75% of its original rough gray-green paint. Most of the wear is on the crown and right side. Condition of the paint inside the skirt is approximately 50%, and there is very little of its original paint inside the crown due to moisture and poor storage over the years. Shell is maker and size marked "EF60" on the inside left rim, and the lot number of "1977" is stamped on the inside rear rim. Original lacquered "Pocher" Army decal is in approximately 85% condition. Fair condition leather liner with what appears to be dried blood present, and other damage to the leather tongues. Original chinstrap is present, and has an aluminum buckle and steel painted rivets. No markings are visible on the chinstrap.
