Heer Model 35 factory reissue single decal combat helmet in overall excellent condition. Exterior of helmet retains 85-90% of its original factory reissue rough gray-green paint (over the earlier smooth "apple green" paint), with an even light patina over most of it. Condition of the paint inside the skirt and crown is approximately 90%, with areas of freckling throughout. Shell is maker and size marked "SE64" on the inside left rim, and the lot number of "4975" is stamped on the inside rear rim. The name "Oexle" is era painted inside the rear rim in white paint. While the decal appears to be gold, it is indeed a toned Heer decal, and is in approximately 80% condition. Excellent condition leather liner is size marked "57", with its original draw string . Original chinstrap is present, and is maker marked and dated "1940". A very nice untouched combat helmet.
