Fine representative specimen of the US M3 grease gun as manufactured by Guide Lamp. Distinctive over the later model because of the cocking lever on the right side of the receiver. The ejection port cover must be open in order for it to fire. There is a recessed hole in the bolt which corresponds to a tab on the cover to allow the cover to remain closed with the bolt forward. Bolt cover opens and closes freely. Typical markings on left side of magazine housing including cross cannons Ordnance symbol visible below "GUIDE" marking. Simple rear peep sight, sliding shoulder loop and all pressed steel construction made this a very economical alternative to the Thompson or Reising machine guns. One original 30 round magazine is included. Overall appearance and finish is fine. About 80% original smooth grey finish thinning overall from good, honest use. Action is smooth. Bore is fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face is also fine. These grease guns are very comfortable and surprisingly accurate to shoot, and are loads of fun at the range. A very popular a sought after machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO & RELIC ELIGIBLE.
