This gun was made by the Crescent Davis Arms Corp from 1930 until about 1934 with a total production of approximately 4000. It was made to compete with the H&R Handy Gun for home defense and small game shooting. This gun is marked "PROOF TESTED 410 GAUGE" on top, and "2 1/2" SHELLS" on left side of barrel. Case hardened top lever hammer action is marked "CRESCENT CERTIFIED SHOTGUN" "CRESCENT - DAVIS ARMS CORPORATION" "NORWICH, CONN, U.S.A." on left side. Grip frame is cast integral with action and serial number is on butt. Slab grips are of walnut. Splinter type forend has spring tension release. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, near new, appears to have been fired very little, with a hint of sharp edge wear on metal surfaces, and a few light scratches in wood. Mechanically excellent.
