Thunder Valley Machine Company reproduction Gatling gun with 31-3/4" ten barrel cluster, mounted in a brass housing with a steel frame designed to take double row strip feed only. One steel and brass feed channel is included. The gun comes mounted on a homemade wooden carriage using contemporary dimensional lumber with 53” diameter wooden “carriage” wheels with steel tires and contemporary metal furnishings. Also included is a tubular steel stand with leg splay retention chain trail and most fittings are all brass. Gun has traversing mechanism with elevation screw with steel handle. Top rear of the gun’s brass housing has a fine reproduction 3-3/4" round brass plaque with the same markings as an original Colt gun. Right side of brass housing of receiver rail is marked "Thunder Valley Machine Company” with Clintion, Ohio address. Serial numbers are both engraved on left side of receiver casing and on right hand steel siderail are 11782-0001 with a triangle proof mark on the steel siderail. This would be one of the later Mike Suchka produced Gatling guns which he made in response to market demand. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent original deep lustrous blue finish. Bores are extremely fine with strong rifling. Bolts also extremely fine. Wood of carriage is starting to crack from age. Right hand hub has a couple of chunks out of it on inner side. Spokes of wheels are very fine, strong and serviceable. A fine later reproduction Gatling gun with a very appealing look.
