Lot contains: (A) British South Lancashire Regiment Home Service Spike Helmet. Dark blue cloth over cork with gilded chinstrap bosses, chinchains, spike and trim. The Kings crown helmet plate of the South Lancashire Regiment is mounted to the front of the helmet. Tan leather sweatband, green visor linings. Helmet is in very good condition showing minor wear. The face painted with the name "H. Rock". CONDITION: Contained in its paint decorated tin case in very good condition. (B) British North Staffordshire Regiment Home Service Helmet. Dark blue cloth over cork with gilded chinstrap bosses, chinchains, spike and trim. The Kings crown helmet plate of the North Staffordshire Regiment has come loose. Tan leather sweatband, red silk lining and green visor linings. Chinchain leather backing exhibits wear, helmet is in very good condition. CONDITION: Contained in its original Japanned tin case in very good condition. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
