This Auto Ordnance 1928 Thompson was manufactured in West Hurley, New York, and remains new unfired with its original box. The original owner purchased it, and for whatever reason never fired it. One 50 round “Bridgeport” marked drum in original WW2 “R.M. Co.” “1942” marked pouch, and two 30 round stick magazines are included. Original cardboard factory shipping box with gun serial number on end, and copy of bill of sale to the original owner (dated 1981) is included as well as a letter from the owner attesting that this gun is indeed new with the drum never having been placed on the weapon. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is mint original lustrous blue finish throughout with perhaps the slightest of handling mark upon closest possible inspection. Wood is likewise near mint. Drum is near excellent dull original finish. Pouch is extremely fine. Box shows typical brassing at the high edges with some tearing at the corners. Bore is mint unfired as is the bolt. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. How often does a new in the box Thompson with original receipt surface? THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO & RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 18-51
