Fantastic example of the US M60 machine gun in its classic configuration. It includes one spare barrel assembly and original sling. The M60 machine gun was the staple for US forces during the Vietnam War and into the contemporary army era. Instantly recognizable by veterans and as seen in films, its steady rate of fire combined with the ability to quickly change barrels make it a very popular machine gun. Only external serial number is at left side of trunnion. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish near mint. Feed tray shows only some slight loss of finish where the belt rides. Inside of receiver shows only the slightest wear from charging the bolt and closing the top cover. Top cover has slight loss of finish on the lower lip right side, invisible when the top cover is closed. Composite furnishings near excellent. Bores of both barrels extremely fine shiny and bright. Mechanics are crisp. An investment grade specimen of the very highest order, pretty much impossible to upgrade. A wonderful item for the modern American military historian and enthusiast.
