The Madsen M50 was an inexpensive to produce, yet effective machine gun utilized by police in many countries. It incorporates an interesting grip safety to the rear of the magazine well, which must be depressed in order for the bolt to release forward. Includes one original brown web sling, original web pouch and two original magazines, one of which is still new in the wrapper. This is one of two consecutively numbered specimens offered in this same sale. A very handy and compact package with its side folding shoulder loop with leather covering. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine original black enamel paint finish with some loss of finish to a grey patina on the barrel and some scuffs and very light handling marks in other places. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face is also fine. Mechanics are crisp. A handy and popular machine gun. From the estate of noted cartridge collector and World War II veteran William H. Woodin. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
