Extremely attractive Heckler & Koch SG-1 Sniper rifle with Carl Zeiss 1.5 x 6 scope with caps, bipod, and high cheek rest at comb of stock.. Accessories also include one each original 10 & 20 round magazines, as well as green plastic cleaning kit, all within soft foam green wooden box specially made for this kit. The lid has an insert window with a typewritten card providing the settings (graduations) and ranges for the scope in both meters and yards (very thoughtful). One can see someone did some meticulous testing and took the time to document it so it would not need to be repeated. A very significant bonus for this lot. Gun is marked “G3FS” with serial number and proof mark “IB” indicating 1981 manufacture on left side of magazine well. Three position selector for the American market, “S, E, F”. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent factory original gray black finish with wear to bare metal where the selector rotates and some loss of finish at the high edges around the ejection port. Bolt has a hand inscribed number “4” visible through the ejection port when in the forward position. Scope has a couple of blemishes to the finish, but the optics are clear and the scope is very attractive on this rifle. Magazines are extremely fine. Bore is near excellent shiny and bright. Bolt is near excellent, absolutely clean. Mechanics are crisp. This is just a fantastic rifle set up for precision shooting with the added bonus of also having select-fire capability.
