An untouched example in excellent complete condition. The helmet body is full form with distinctive "lobster tail" shape and retains all of its original Model 1872 brass hardware. The yellow horsehair plume and braided gold cords on this helmet are in excellent condition. Black leather chin strap with cavalry side buttons. CONDITION: Partially detached interior leather lining and green visor facings show little wear. Leather lining retains its original adjustment string. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
