An untouched example in excellent complete condition. The helmet body is full form with distinctive "lobster tail" shape and retains all of its original Model 1872 brass hardware, yellow horsehair plume and braided yellow wool cords which exhibit fading. CONDITION: Interior leather lining and black painted visor facings are in very good condition showing light wear. The black leather chin strap is secured by two cavalry side buttons.
