Model 1916 German Army combat helmet, marked on the interior as "ET64", indicating a size 64 shell manufactured by Eisenhuttenwerke in Thale. The helmet has its original supple leather liner and worn chin strap. The exterior camouflage paint is approximately 80% intact. The front of the helmet carries the "Stirnpanzer" armor brown plate that was introduced in 1917 and was associated with snipers, machine gunners, and others whose duties in the front lines required exposure of the head. CONDITION: Very good. The camouflage paint on the armor plate is approximately 90% intact but has darkened with age. The plate is complete with its original leather strap.
