Lot consists of: Five plates from IRAN. The green-bordered plate is a special plate issued to vehicles traveling outside of Iran, it is an "additional" plate, used with the normal issue, "33" is the date, which is in Farsi and must have 21 added to it to equate to the Anglo date, in this case, 1954. "TEH" denotes issue in the capital of Tehran, followed by the serial number of the plate. Next is the white on black plate, the date tab translates to 1956, and the letter above denotes issue in Tehran, the colors denote issue to a commercial vehicle. Next is the longer plate, the tab translates to 1960, the letter denotes Tehran, and the colors denote a private auto. The other two plates are typical of the plates sent to collectors by the Automobile Club of Iran in the late 1960's and early 1970's, and are believed to be normal plates of the time, but perhaps samples. Condition is excellent on all but the commercial plate, which is very good.

Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).

Item Dimensions: Largest: 14 - 1/2" x 6 - 1/2".
