Receiver manufactured in 1943. Built into the Navy configuration and chambered for the 7.62mm NATO cartridge with cartridge block in magazine. Barrel is Springfield 3-66 dated and marked "7.62MM". The rifle is accompanied with CMP paperwork indicating that, by serial number, it was sold as a receiver only in November 2001. A quantity of these USGI 7.62mm barrels were sold at the same time by the CMP. Walnut stocks have no visible markings and have been armory refinished at prior time. CONDITION: Very fine as custom assembled. Bore is excellent to as new. TE reading: less than 1. ME reading: less than 1. Receiver is very good as arsenal refinished. Stocks are good as armory refinished and without inspection. Action operates properly and mechanics appear fine.
