Manufactured 1955. Harrington & Richardson manufacture with barrel dated 11-56. Walnut stocks with small correct Ordnance wheel inspection cartouche and circle "P" proof on pistol grip. All internal components appear to be HRA including bolt, operating rod, rear sight, trigger assembly, hammer, safety, and gas plug. CONDITION: Excellent with bright shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. Wood has been lightly sanded at prior date and is probably armory done. TE reading: 3. ME reading: 3. Action is smooth and operates properly. Harrington & Richardson made some of the finest quality M1 Garand rifles with the lowest rejection rate. This rifle is accompanied by a sales receipt and certificate from the CMP indicating that it was sold in 2002 as a service grade M1 rifle.
