Manufactured 1944 and later converted to the MKII Model 1 7.62mm rifle. Springfield 5-65 dated 7.62mm barrel marked "H&R" with white magazine block to prevent the longer .30-06 cartridge from being inserted. Rifle is comprised of later post World War II components with exception of locking bar rear sight. Walnut stocks have the late small eagle within box cartouche with circle "P" proof at pistol grip. Comes with CMP certificate verifying sale of MKII Mod 1 barreled receiver sold in March 2013. CONDITION: Very good with fine wood stocks with typical small storage marks and bruises. Exterior metal has over 80% of the arsenal applied finish remaining. Action operates properly. ME reading: 1+. TE reading: 1. Very fine shootable rifle with CMP certification.
