Manufactured 1943. Standard World War II issue M1 Garand rifle with correct Springfield Arsenal GAW cartouche with Ordnance wheel and circle "P" inspection. World War II correct components with unmodified Springfield Arsenal operating rod, proper bolt, proper trigger assembly with milled trigger guard, and Springfield Arsenal marked hammer and safety. Locking bar rear sight and correct World War II front sight with single slot gas plug. Rifle has had several slight upgrades like having a roll pin as opposed to the solid pin in handguard retainer. Comes with CMP certificate. CONDITION: TE reading: 2+. ME reading: 1+. Bright shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. Wood stocks have numerous nicks, scratches and bruises. One rather large chip is missing from front handguard at bottom right. Metal surfaces retain over 70% of the arsenal applied finish. Very fine, mostly correct World War II M1 rifle.
