This soda fountain was designed by J.W. Tufts. It is extremely elaborate and ornate. This dispenser would have only been used in exclusive hotels and establishments. It would have had a price tag of $2500 which was quite extravagant in the late 1800's. The cylinder is made of Italian marble and the dome top is Sterling silver. The soda dispenser retains its original brass plaque on the front that says "The Arctic Soda Apparatus J.W. Tufts Boston, Mass." The last patent date shows 1880. There are also two other smaller brass tags that say Root Beer and Ginger Ale. There is a crack in the marble the runs from the left of the makers plaque to the base. There is also a crack which runs right below the makers plaque to the second large spigot. The dome top has a few dings and tarnish. Despite the minor issues, this piece displays quite well and would look great in any setting. This is the only example we have ever seen sold.

This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
