This fine rifle dates to March 1945 through June 1945 and could have been carried on the Normandy beaches in June of 1945. Features "D28287-19SA" bolt, "D28290-18SA" trigger group, "D28291-35" lower, "D35382-9SA" uncut operating rod, cross gas plug, and round edge lock bar rear sight. The walnut stock has the inspector stamp "SA / NFR" for Norman Ramsey, and proof "P". CONDITION: 90%+ metal finish. Wood is very good with usual bumps. TE reading: 2.5. ME reading: 1.5. An "almost there" M1 that with a few small parts could be brought back to original-as-shipped configuration.
