Borchardt fitted with rarely found factory double set triggers. This rifle was originally one of Sharps sporting rifles. The action and trigger guard were probably originally case colored but both have been polished bright. An extreme buttstock in a Schoyen/Peterson style, with checkering, and appears newly made. Buttplate appears to be in the A.O. Zischang style with gold plating that is thinning in a few locations. Forearm is a beavertail style with an ebony tip, also newly made. Barrel is an original Sharps and marked "Old Reliable" and "45 - 2 1/10" for caliber, which is .45-70. Has a Rocky Mountain front sight and a elevator barrel sight. CONDITION: Buttstock has a few dings from handling. Buttplate finish thinning. Forearm shows little if any wear. Good action, excellent bore. TR
