Features double set triggers, probably custom, and customized underlever made of two pieces. Case colored action. Winchester buttstock of fancy American walnut with checkering and cheekpiece on left side. Fitted with a custom extreme Schützen buttplate made of brass and nickel plated. Forearm is Winchester with ebony insert, checkered, showing considerable handling. Palm rest has been inletted into the forearm. Full octagon barrel, No. 4 weight, marked "Manufactured by the Winchester Firearms Company" but not marked for caliber. Front sight very unusual with windage adjustments. Rear sight is a Winchester-Vernier tang sight. CONDITION: Considerable faded case color is present on action. Checkering on buttstock is worn. One grain separation on the left side of stock. Oil discoloration near action. Buttplate has most of its nickel remaining. Forearm retains approximately 70% of the finish. Barrel blue is thinning and turning to brown. Fine actions, excellent bore. A fine old custom target rifle that appears to have seen a lot of use on the range. TR
