This is an amazing group of plates from CONNECTICUT. The run begins with a leather plate No. 1486, which was issued in early 1904, and that number continues throughout this group. The leather plate is followed by the first issue undated white on black plate, but here is a real quirk: there are three of them, not just a pair! One could be a replacement or perhaps there is a reason heretofore unknown for the third plate; it is believed to be the only three-plate first issue in existence. Next is the 1910 plate, white on red and undated, followed by the undated 1911 which is blue on white, next is the undated 1912 issue which is white on green, and there are a pair of these in the group. This is followed by the undated white on blue plate for 1913; all five undated issues are porcelain. Next comes a pair of porcelain plates dated 1914, followed by a pair of porcelain plates dated 1915. There is no 1916 in the group, but it picks up in 1917 with embossed plates, in pairs for each year between 1917 and 1921. These are followed by pairs for 1923 and 1924, a single for 1925 and lastly, a pair of 1926 plates. Aside from one of the 1920 plates and one of the 1926 plates, which are good, all of the rest of the plates are excellent.

Condition: (Good - Excellent).
