Non engraved action appears to have been blued. Single trigger. No. 3 loop lever. Butt stock in a Pope special pattern with high cheek rest by Paul Shuttleworth. Pistol grip buttstock is made out of fancy American walnut. Nickel plated buttplate, probably also from Paul Shuttleworth. Forearm is believed to be an original Stevens noncheckered with two screw design. No. 3 weight barrel, half octagon, and marked "J. Stevens Arms and Tool" etc. CONDITION: Very thin bluing remaining on action. Buttstock has some scattered handling marks and one significant chip missing from bottom of cheekpiece. Buttplate has almost all of its original nickel. Forearm has a couple of handling dents and dings, with one small split at top front. Barrel bluing is very thin, probably 50% remaining. Fine action and bore. This would make a good shooter and a .22 rimfire to practice with. TR
