Gun South marked Steyr AUG/A1 registered receiver machine gun with 24" long matching serial number barrel with bipod, and also 15.25" long un-numbered spare barrel. Both barrels incorporate folding hand grips. Also included is mounted 6x42 KAHLES Austrian scope with covers on a rail mount which incorporates a carrying handle (Neat!). Typical Steyr green composite stock. No magazine present. The Steyr AUG is a highly successful and effective "bullpup" design and has been used by the military forces of several countries. They are compact, durable, accurate, and also versatile, being able to be readily converted to fire 9mm. As a pre-86 dealer sample, this gun can be retained privately when an active FFL/SOT dealer in a "sole proprietor" status relinquishes their license, subject to any state and local restrictions, and upon BATF approval. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original black hardcoat finish on metal parts with non-reflective green composite furnishings. Bores of both barrels are extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. A great find for the modern machine gun enthusiast.
